Fair Trade
"It is time—time for FAIRchange, time to rethink, time to take care of one another."
Rudi Dalvai, President of Weltladen Bozen and former President of the WFTO

Definition of the international Fair Trade networks (WFTO, Fairtrade International, and European Fair Trade Association)
"Fair Trade is a trading partnership, based on dialogue, transparency, and respect, that seeks greater equity in international trade.
By providing better trading conditions and securing social rights for disadvantaged producers and workers—especially in the Global South—Fair Trade contributes to sustainable development.
Fair Trade organizations (together with consumers) are committed to supporting producers, raising awareness, and campaigning to change the rules and practices of conventional global trade."
Fair Trade in South Tyrol

There are currently 13 independent world shops in South Tyrol. In 2013, they joined together to form the South Tyrolean World Shop Network to promote Fair Trade in South Tyrol. The formation of a network ensures the independence of each individual world shop, while simultaneously advancing projects that are significant to all world shops.
